Two Tone to Know

DESCRIPTION

This was just a quick sketch to further practice with time. Also, I always wanted to draw the old Ford F-100 pickups. The particular model I drew is a 1956 half-ton. The two tone paintjob is mostly my own idea, but it is similar to many other two tone designs I have seen. I plan on using the design for a much better F100 drawing in the future!

THE SKETCH

This drawing was done on Canson marker paper with Prismacolor markers. The coloring was sort of a mistake gone right. The blue was supposed to be a nice candy blue, until I accidentally laid down a color called "Peacock Blue", which has a greenish tint to it. I thought the drawing was ruined until I decided to just continue with it and see how it turns out. Well, it turned out to be great! The peacock blue adds a nice shade of reflection that gives more realism and depth to the drawing. I now learned of a new trick to use for blue cars in the future, ha ha ha!
