Circular Desktop

THE STORY

Being a novice with digital mediums, I always wondered about the pretty desktop wallpaper people kept making. Depending on the design and idea, it can take a lot of work, or be a simple five minute job I guess.

THE PROJECT

While focusing on making a desktop wallpaper, I also learned about making stepped and stroked gradients. The curves and some of the circles utilize the function where only two lines were drawn, and then filled in the center to create equal distances between the lines. Placing two lines in a wave pattern, and having them overlap each other can make for some pretty looking designs. I've seen some desktop designs where such a thing was done, and then a glow was added to make for a powerful neon flared look.
