A Painterly Portrait

THE STORY

This project was a very interesting one. Basically, an image of myself was to be used and made into a "painting" using Adobe Illustrator. This may or may not surprise anyone, but I have very little pictures of myself...so I decided to use a sketch I had done long time ago, which is uploaded on my page ([link]).

THE PROJECT

With the use of digital medium, I was able to darken my hair and eyebrows, but I think I also ended up giving myself eyeliners as well...

The frame was quickly made to make it seem like some sort of wall art in a villa. As for the portrait painting itself, it consists of quite a bit of brush strokes, so much that the file size exceeded 150 megabytes! My computer stumbled quite a bit making this one...but then again, I'm still using Windows XP...
